The Patch is a great place to get away and relax! It was so much better than staying at a hotel.

This place was perfect for our much needed getaway. Lots to explore & do on the property. The trails & ponds were gorgeous! Very clean & the kitchen was very well stocked which I loved! Plenty of snacks & breakfast provided for us. The kids loved the chickens & the garden. Sherry was amazing at making sure we were comfortable throughout our entire stay. We can’t wait to visit again!

The Patch will provide an excellent place to stay. The hospitality is top notch. The house was clean with plenty of space. The land and ponds provided great outdoor experiences. You can feed the fish and turtles! They made a point to provide me the vacation stay I was wanting. Outstanding, I will stay there again in the future.

The Patch is a beautiful, serene place to relax and enjoy some outdoor activities. Sherry and Rob live in the home next door and provided us with delicious fresh eggs and other produce straight from their garden. We enjoyed relaxing and hiking, and the kids loves playing with the chickens and the sweet dog Nous. They also let our kids play in their small pool because it was hot (middle of summer) and were extremely kind and patient with them. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon.

Private, relaxing place in the countryside. Great if you're looking to unwind and relax with nature. Mrs. Sheri was very nice and helpful upon check-in, was very helpful in answering all my questions. We had a great time with her furry friend and all the chickens, absolutely loved it! Still close enough to the main highways so it's easy to get places. Cant wait to go back! Highly recommend

Thank you for such an amazing weekend away! My husband was wearing a mask when we arrived and we really appreciated that you took that cue to grant us space and social distance during our stay. We loved Nous. He was so sweet. We felt like he was our old buddy while we were watching the sun rise. The vegetables and farm fresh eggs were such a generous gift. We appreciate everything from cleanliness to the hospitality. Thank you!

Small Town Charm

Paige was created in 1872 near the Houston and Texas Central Railway. The post office of Paige was created in 1874, and in 1876, the railway station near the town was moved three miles east to the location of the current station. In 1877, Fedor Soder arrived in the town and sold many town lots to Germans. He also created a store and a cotton gin, as the town was growing due to massive production of cotton in the area. The population of Paige in 1884 was about 350 citizens, and it jumped to 500 in 1886. By that time, the town had several businesses, a broom factory, a creamery, a pickle factory, and seven cotton gins. The town was a large shipping joint for butter, cattle, cordwood, cotton, eggs, hogs, potatoes, and many other items. The town gained a bank and telephone service in 1914, but the population slightly decreased up till the 1960s or 1970s. In 1982, the town formed a volunteer fire department. The population was reported to be 275 in 1990, and it remained the same in 2000.
